The Werewolf's Fate
(2023)(The third book in the Office of Highland Magic series)
A novel by Ferrell Dawson
Scotland’s werewolf clans were some of the most terrifying in Europe — until their most famed general turned in his dirks for data. Now, he’s being charged with crimes he didn’t commit and violence might be the answer.
‘The Werewolf’s Fate’ is the third book in the Office of Highland Magic series, featuring a department of academics keeping track of Scotland’s magical peoples and relics.
Emmett O’Neill is much happier as a researcher in the Office of Highland Magic than he ever was as the general of one of Scotland’s most vicious werewolf clans. He traded tartan for tweed, and the only thing that provokes him to violence is when he can’t open a package of Walkers shortbread. But when members of Edinburgh’s magical community start turning up dead, old prejudices arise and fingers are pointed at Emmett.
Pippa Hill is a bounty hunter: one of the most acceptable positions for a baobhan sith in this new, modern Scotland. She can still seduce, drink, and fight her way through a job, which is all she’s ever wanted. When Pippa accepts a bounty on a werewolf in Edinburgh, she finds herself crossing the country to warn her friends.
One thing that Pippa doesn’t account for is Emmett. When she learns that there’s no hard evidence to prove his guilt, she’s willing to help determine who’s really behind the grisly killings. There’s just one thing Pippa and Emmett can’t strategize for — and that is their growing attraction. As the real culprit closes in on them, Pippa learns to never underestimate the quiet ones.
Please note ‘The Werewolf’s Fate’ is an adult paranormal romance with sex scenes, graphic violence, and swearing.
Genre: Paranormal Romance
