IT WAS THE WILDEST TIME, THE WICKEDEST TIME, THE SADDEST TIME-IT WAS THE 60s...

The three lost girls--reflecting the intertwined lives of their mothers before them--found themselves trapped in a zany lifestyle of rock bands, drugs, flower people, and--in Daisy's case--something more dangerous. Daisy was new into London, fresh from the hippy trail of California. Somehow she found herself labelled with the new woman of the 60s image--freewheeling, aggressive, sexually uninhibited. It was an image that was hard to lose.

Annie had found her own niche in London as a dress designer--but somehow she just didn't fit into the vibrant mood of the 60s. Shy, self-effacing, she was continually left behind when it came to men, and taken advantage of when it came to women.

But Alexia was the most bewildered of them all. With a neurotic mother who had dumped her at birth, with a sophisticated French background, and a suave, rich husband much older than herself, she was ripe for trouble. When rock star Kit Carson exploded into her life and she was thrown out by her husband, she could do nothing else but join the erotic, wild, sleazy lifestyle of a top rock band. For a while it was fun, then when she became pregnant she realized she had to take hold of her life if history was not to repeat itself.

The three girls, victims of the past, with old hand-ups, and old secrets still shadowing their lives, finally united into a friendship that was to hold fast and carry them into a happier time.
