Despite the years, the heartache, the dream never dies. Consultant Jill Brandon walked into the offices of the Buena Park newspaper and received two rude shocks. One was Kent Lawrence, the paper's managing editor. As Jill tried to revamp the daily, Kent dogged her footsteps, hurling the same bitter accusations she'd heard from him years before. Kent Lawrence had she not forgotten her one rash act as a young reporter, an act that had launced her career and ruined their relationship. Nor had he forgivenn her for it. That was the first shock- that Kent still despised her. But the second shock was worse. After all the years Jill still loved him.
