Death at the Anchorage
(2022)(The fourth book in the Kipper Cottage Cozy Mystery series)
A novel by Jan Durham
Roses are red, violets are blue. A killer is coming. The question is - who?
Its Valentines Day in the picturesque fishing town of Whitby, and hearts are beating fast for all the wrong reasons.
When an impromptu séance at the local retirement home sparks a grisly death, widow Liz McLuckie once again finds herself in the middle of a murder investigation.
Why did someone kill mild-mannered pensioner Clara Bendelow? Could it have something to do with the suicide of her brother thirty years before? And how is it connected to the recent re-appearance of a convicted fraudster?
The answers lie buried in the past and Liz will have to dig deep to find them, with the help of her motley assortment of friends and Nelson the English bull terrier, the ugliest (and cleverest) dog in Yorkshire.
Death at the Anchorage Book 4 in the Kipper Cottage Mystery Series. Perfect for fans of Stella Cameron and Frances Evesham.

This had me gripped from the start The author has a way of making you feel right there with Liz in the middle of things and I just have to keep on reading. -Booksprout Reviewer
Another great installment in this great cozy mystery series. This series has relatable characters and this plot was fun, despite it being a murder mystery! Highly recommend both the book and series. -Netgalley Reviewer
This series just keeps getting better. Liz is a strong, likeable, independent woman, open to letting a new man in her life. Her friends, old and new, are well described, especially the MahJong team. Nelson, the bull terrier, should have a series of his own! 5 stars. -Netgalley Reviewer
Another really wonderful read in this fourth in the Kipper Cottage series of mysteries. Warm and engaging (despite the murders!) cosy mystery with an endearing, yet feisty and smart, protagonist in Liz and a colourful cast of supporting characters - not least of which is Nelson, quite possibly the bravest dog in Yorkshire. A thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining mystery which was gratefully devoured in one straight sitting. -Netgalley Reviewer
