Wild Ways presents new short stories about women on the move by some of the best female writers of Britain, Jamaica, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. By turns adventurous, disastrous, funny and sad, these are tales of independent travel and subversions of the macho world of the road trip, of women traveling to places real or imagined, alone or with friends, leading, following or just totally lost. Some travel in a paroxysm of anxiety, some in a drunken haze, but all are safe in the knowledge of great travelers everywhere: that it's not the arriving that counts, it's the journey.
