Luke Duffy

Luke Duffy grew up in the north of England and in 1995, at the age of eighteen, he joined the Parachute Regiment. It had been an ambition of his since a very young age and hes been scrapping in war torn countries ever since. From Northern Ireland, to Kosovo, Sierra Leone, and Iraq. He wanted so badly to fight, to fight anyone. As the saying goes be careful what you wish for because as it turned out, he would have his wish granted, on numerous occasions.

After the invasion of Iraq, like many other professional soldiers, Luke left the Army and began work as a privately funded operator in what was left of the war torn country on the Private Security Circuit.

People in his line of work referred to in many ways. Some would call him a soldier of fortune or mercenary; others would label him as a hired gun or bodyguard, even murderer in some cases. Luke views himself as an opportunist.

He published his first book RUNNING THE GAUNTLET: The Private War in Iraq in July of 2011. It follows his experiences in Iraq and gives a no punches pulled account of the Private Front on the War on Terror.

After writing his first book, he soon realised he wanted to pursue a new career as a writer and began work on a second publication.
