Dixie's Dachshund

Dixie Levine is desperate for a new start. After being accosted by a drunk in an alley and rescued by a feisty stray dachshund she loses both her job and room because she won't abandon her rescuer. So, when someone suggests she answer a letter for a mail order bride in Gunther City, Oklahoma she decides she has nothing to lose.

Oliver Forrest and his two older brothers all wrote for brides. He obtained acres in the recent land run and is now ready to settle down with a wife of his own, on his own land. He just prays that the young lady who answers his letter is kind and loves dogs as much as he does.

Dixie and Oliver connect instantly over their mutual love of dogs but it takes more than that to make up a marriage. When she's arrested during their wedding for a crime she claims to be innocent of, it looks like there is no chance for a happy ever after. Can Dixie convince the sheriff and the town of her innocence? Will Oliver stand by her through her troubles or will the accusations and teasing of his brothers be too much for the youngest son?
