Following her first winter in Arizona as a snowbird after the death of her husband, Sharon Peterson returns to Maine for the summer. She’s happy to be returning to see her daughters, Jessica and Amanda. What she’s not looking forward to is breaking the news that she’s in a romantic relationship with fellow snowbird, Hal Jackson, whom she met on a spur-of-the-moment trip to Sedona. As she’d feared, her younger daughter Amanda is extremely upset by the news and isn’t afraid to let it be known when Hal comes to visit Sharon.
