The Poison Oracle

Take a medieval Arab kingdom; add a ruler who has decided to bring to it the most modern of facilities; include an English psycholinguist; and then add a chimpanzee who is learning to form coherent sentences with plastic symbols. Into this placid setting comes a hijacked Japanese airliner, complete with a beautiful English hijackeress. A murder is committed and the only witness is--the chimpanzee.
