Daughters of legendary singer Mangalabai, the two sisters are a study in contrast. Whilst, Sumantai is arrogant about not just her singing, but also her beauty; Manik is accommodating in every sense: as a daughter, sister, wife and a mother. Though Manik leads a placid life, at times a sense of being inconsequential stings her. She's lived her life in shadow of giants.

And then one day, she gets an opportunity to prove herself. To show that she has more talent than cooking exotic dishes and raising a family. It is their mother's felicitation, and Manik gets an opportunity to sing in her mother's honour, when the haughty Sumantai turns down the offer. The pressure is immense, and still this means the most in Manik's life. Will she shine?
