Hannah Cooper and Sammie Theroux live under the control of their foster father Frank, a Fagin-like character who forces them to steal, pickpocket, and grift their way through life. Hannah knows she will soon age out of foster care, leaving an innocent Sammie unprotected from Frank's lecherous behavior.
The girls know they must act to protect their sisterly bond but will they be able to escape Frank's extended reach? Will they be caught and brought back only to face a dismal future? But if they manage to escape, will they have the loyalty and strength to survive?
