Private Investigator Barbara Black aka Babs, Babe and/ or Barb is once again on the move, following the trail of a drug cartel active in Tucson, Arizona, a journey which takes her to Jolly Old England and Paris, France as well as San Diego, Yuma and Gila Bend. She’s messing with people who are much meaner and persistent in their attempt to keep their underworld business going than she ever thought possible, and she is standing in their way. She recruits the help of Tec Hoffman, of the Deadly Series, and brings him smack into the middle of danger. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt or possibly dead, and when the trap is set, Babs is the bait and as she says “The fate of bait is to get swallowed up or taken” It turns out, that’s an accurate description of what will occur.
