Verna
Salmon Lake still feels like home.
Coming back has not been easy, though.
Every time I think of what I came for, my stomach knots.
When we bumped into Alexander on the first day, I was shaken by this instant tension between us.
We may have hated each other when we were kids, but now all I feel is… attraction.
Like that night so long ago.
How will he react when I tell him that Paul is his son?
Alexander really has grown into a trustworthy... and rousing man.
Yet, am I ready to let him in to our lives?
Alexander
I never expected to see Verna again.
We haven’t laid eyes on each other since that strange night 11 years ago.
Seeing her walk into the restaurant with her son was definitely a surprise.
But I’m starting to think it was a good one.
Talking to Verna is so different to how it used to be; why did we ever hate each other so much?
Even spending time with her son makes me smile…
There’s something about him that is familiar.
She’s intelligent and determined, and he’s sweet and hilarious!
Could it really be that this was the family I never knew I had?
After the trials and tribulations of a grueling military life, we, six army veterans, plan to retreat to a more peaceful life. Yet, this small secluded mountain town is no ordinary recluse, with the power of love running deep within its water and into its residents hearts. As we prepare to settle for a quiet life of isolation, fate has other plans in store. Even the strongest men seem no match for the mountains will, and when fascinating new women arrive in the village the game has only just begun. Each chance encounter holds a promise of a budding romance… for those who are daring enough to take it.
This is Book 6 from Rangers in Alaska series.
