The Hampton Passion

Liz Hampton Adams, famous society beauty, wants to divorce her doctor husband Victor. The year is 1925 and, even though it is now fairly common, there is still the risk that such a high-profile divorce will bring scandal on the Hamilton family name - and the political aspirations of her father. But Liz feels she must do something with her life before it is too late, and an absentee husband is something she can do without. In an attempt to delay the inevitable, Liz's mother, Caroline Hampton, sends her to Miami on a business trip. It is there that she meets enigmatic, ruthless and undeniably handsome Rick Pulaski, a property developer, and he seems to be even more interested in her than in the million-dollar business deal she represents. But just how far can she trust a man who has fought his way in difficult times from poverty to the highest echelons of the business world - particularly when things don't go quite the way he'd planned?
