The Tamsin Kernick English Cozy Mysteries: Books 4-6
(2025)(A book in the Tamsin Kernick Cozy English Mystery series)
An omnibus of novels by Lucy Emblem
A mountain biker dead in a frozen ditch. This was not what dog trainer Tamsin Kernick had in mind when she climbed the majestic Malvern Hills to enjoy the New Years Eve fireworks.
She would much rather head home to a warming hot chocolate and the last of the Christmas cake! But the trouble is that once Tamsins curiosity is aroused, she cant leave well alone. So she wheels out her quirky band of investigators from her favourite coffee shop to get in the saddle and crack the crime. Once again her dogs have to rescue their intrepid owner from dangerous scrapes, putting the brakes on the killer almost single-pawed.
In Book 5, someone seems set on destroying the Malvern Hills craft businesses: in the Farmers Market the goats yogurt is off, the hand-knitteds are causing a rash, and a tearful bakers delicious scones are tasting awful. And when contaminated goats yogurt is implicated in a mysterious death, Tamsin fears her favourite café may be next on the list, and now shes catapulted into investigating a murder. Can she and her dogs nose out the suspects and bring the culprits to heel?
Book 6 sees Tamsin studying photography to improve her dog photographs. But in no time one of the other students is found lifeless on Midsummer Hill! A fresh mystery focuses her energies, and with her trusty canines and quirky café companions, she dives into a whodunit she slowly brings into focus. As if unmasking a murderer isn't enough, a local child goes missing. Tamsin's heart pounds as she and her four-legged heroes race against time to rescue the youngster - and then collar the culprit.

If you love dogs, friendship, determination and cake, do yourself a favour and read this boxset to be drawn into this beautiful area, full of characters interacting on so many levels, and so realistic I at least never wanted each book to end.
A joy to read - these books are such fun! The characters are credible, the animals wonderful, and the stories believable.
Lucy has a brilliant talent for drawing the reader into the story, so much that I felt that these people were real friends and I lived with them in the beautiful Malvern Hills. The warmth of friendship, determination, sleuthing at its very best (and the cakes!) and how her dogs help, all work their magic to create a beautiful story.
