Town Belles

Teenage sisters Faith and Zoe want very different things from life. Faith longs for a career and independence, running her own hairdressing salon in London. Marriage, babies and a semi-detached house in the suburbs are what Zoe aspires to. But their dreams die when the Coronation Day celebrations of 1953 end in tragedy for them, and although they eventually succeed in their chosen pursuits, they grow apart. It takes another twist of fate to teach them that love and understanding can be shared in many ways.
