I still like the older books to the newer books. I like Romance not Lust-mance. I like ROMANCE not Sex-mance. I don't know why writers and publishers can't do romance anymore, not bodice rippers, just plan romance. Of course the alternative was books like this that you have to work through book as the hero was not so heroic, until the end of the book, when he became loving.
From the back of the book: 'Vere focused on the man at the desk. Their glances locked in a kind of declaration of war.
Gavin Ingham was just like the Emperor Nero-thumbs up or thumbs down, according to his whim. Vere suddenly loathed this man with a reckless fury.
"If they had warned me beforehand how prejudiced you were," she asserted angrily, "I wouldn't have bothered to come here at all."
The flare of anger in his eyes sparked a shiver down her back.'
Genre: Romance
