Rosemary Edghill (1956-2026) was an American writer and editor, also known to science fiction readers as eluki bes shahar.
She wrote in almost every popular genre except the Western, including science fiction, fantasy, Regency romance, mystery, short fiction and media tie-ins. Her books included the Bast mysteries, the Twelve Treasures fantasy sequence, the Hellflower novels as eluki bes shahar, and collaborations with Andre Norton, Mercedes Lackey and Marion Zimmer Bradley.
Before and between books, she worked at the usual writerly assortment of jobs, including bookstore clerk, secretary, software beta tester, graphic designer, book illustrator, library clerk and administrative assistant. She died on 7 April 2026.
