FOUL PLAY is an anthology of five short stories from author Stephen Edger, including: THE PERFECT TONIC Detective Orville Jameson has received a letter. The letter is from a killer, confessing to his latest crime. At first Jameson thinks it is a prank, being played by one of his immature colleagues, but as he continues to read the letter starts to take a sinister turn. Uncertain on how to proceed but desperate to catch a killer before he escapes, Jameson scours the text for clues as to the identity of this killer and his victims. As time ticks by, the detective's desperation begins to spiral out of control. As the end of the letter approaches, Jameson knows he is getting closer to the killer but little does he realise the shocking conclusion the letter will deliver. BEST SERVED COLD Thomas Manning's wife is missing. He doesn't know where she is. The police think he killed her but he has no memory of what happened the night before. His best friend suggests a weekend away in France to forget it all. Rob meets Pilar and falls for her hard. She is the girlfriend of a local hood and he needs to save her. Chris immediately recognises the voice. Only a handful of people know his true identity, but the caller knows too. Racing across the streets of Paris, Chris turns to the only man he can rely on for help. Together the two need to figure out how the caller found them, and what he really wants. They track the caller to London, where karma will teach them the ultimate lesson: what goes around... comes around.
