Christine's love of animals and the beautiful Highland countryside are her constant sources of strength as, with characteristic warmth and good humour, she continues the uplifting and inspiring story which began in BLUE ABOVE THE CHIMNEYS and ROSES ROUND THE DOOR. She relates the problems encountered in her new house in Argyllshire, the hard work required to be a highly successful author - not forgetting her responsibilities as a wife and mother. She remembers, too, the Govan tenements in Glasgow where as a child she contracted the rare muscular disease which confined her to a wheelchair, but never diminished her spirit.
