Nathan Stark had the usual poor boy's hunger to make a million bucks before he was thirty. He figured all he had to do was go to Texas' pick up a cheap herd of longhorns and drive them back to the beef - starved prospecting camps of Montana. The trek would be 1'500 miles of raging rivers' bone - dry deserts and hostile Indians' but Stark was brutal and ambitious. He wasn't about to let these obstacles get in his way. He would destroy anything in his path on his road to prosperity. What Nathan Stark hadn't counted on was starting Montana's first range war.
