A French film-maker, whose career has stalled in Paris, moves to London in the hope of making a new start. An American woman, living in New York, moves to Paris to work in the luxury goods industry. An attaché at the British Embassy in Paris sees her in the swimming-pool of an hotel. These three lives are dramatically interwoven in comedy, romance and growing terror. Duncan Fallowell says 'This novel has been rejected by every publisher in London as too highbrow or too eccentric or too avant garde or too whatever. Okay then, morons, yes, stay away - it's for the few, it's for an elite.' Bruno Bayley in Vice magazine wrote that Fallowell has 'penned novels that people have a tendency to burn.' Well, they can't burn this one. Its first edition is here, in electronic form.
