The Smithfield Bargain

When Annabel Haygarth is dismissed by her employer, Mrs, Beaumont, for flirting with her son, she is fully aware that a bleak future is before her with no prospect of employment. At the same time, the eldest Beaumont girl, Georgia, is being forced to join her godmother in Bath in order to attract, with her fortune, an impoverished but titled gentleman. Being in love with a simple curate, Georgia quickly sees the possibility of turning Annabel's unfortunate circumstances to her own advantage.
