Hollywood Blacklist

This is a coherent and simply written history of the blacklist and its function in the 1950s. It begins with the author's personal experience, and then goes on to explain the origin of the blacklist in America, its use through the 19th century, and its broad use during the Cold War. It is an important part of our history, little understood by the middle-school and high school students for whom this book is intended.
