About the series
Gavin Ross is a veteran US Marine who stumbles into a conspiracy while on vacation in Scotland. The result is a bitter blood feud that comes to absorb family, friends, employees, and even MI6, the British Royal Family, and the President of the United States. This is not a typical thriller/suspense series. It unfolds slowly, with twists and turns. It is a study in leadership, duty, loyalty, and revenge, with strong threads of coming-of-age, mystery, and history.
The main character is not CIA, former CIA, Delta Force, black-ops sniper, etc. He’s just a man, out of uniform more than 30 years, trying to make a difference. He finds himself in an unlikely position and decides to make the most of it. There is a little bit of everything: gun battles, royal family, secrets, history, philosophy, coming-of-age, spies—you name it. All involving a cast of characters who join together organically into a true team—a family; the story is very character driven.
