AURALI RED
AND A LITTLE CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM
Bass Reeves has been given a warrant to serve on an old friend, Deputy U.S. Marshal Hamilton Updyke, who has gone rogue. The marshal's family, his wife and daughter, were murdered by a band of renegade outlaws led by an Englishman, Lord Blakemore, charged with setting up a protectorate in Texas for Queen Victoria and the British Empire.
Updyke becomes a psychotic sociopath over the death of his family and goes on his own rampage, killing and burning while revenge chasing the Englishman's vicious band of marauders. He kidnaps a nine year old girl who has flaming red hair and the same name his own daughter had... Aurali Red.
Bass joins forces with Deputy Marshals Fiona Miller, Jack McGann, Brushy Bill Roberts, Sheriff Mason Flynn and Texas Ranger Bodie Hickman. Do they catch up with the guerrilla raiders?
