Featherfoot is a murder mystery set in a remote Aboriginal community in Australia. In 1989, two girls disappear at a remote Aboriginal rock art site, reputed by the local Aboriginal people to be a ‘sickness place’. They are never found. Twenty years later, charismatic anthropologist Tony Griffin leads a survey of the rock art. Among the team is his young wife, Cara. During the fieldwork, Cara slips and falls to her death. The tragedy is assumed to be an accident until it’s revealed that Tony’s first wife died in exactly the same way. Further, when they retrieve Cara’s body, the rescuers discover the skeleton of a young girl. Is it the body of one of the missing girls, and what happened to the other?
