Kate awakes one morning, to discover that this time she hasn't lost a few hours, she's lost an entire day. Kyle claims she was ill when he left for work, but Kate can't remember any of that, although she doesn't let him know that. When the news turns up their big lead died in a fire that same day, everyone is suddenly sure that the killer is still here, still watching the progress of the investigation, but only Kate feels true fear.
