Once upon a time, humankind ruled the world while lycans and vampires lived in secret.
This is no longer that time.
Luna
An arranged marriage? F*ck. This.
I'm an alpha female. I choose my future. Not society. Not my father. And certainly not him.
Silas
I didn't survive just to be cast aside as a low level lycan. I'm more powerful than they realize. More determined. More intelligent. And far more worthy of her than anyone else.
Edon
Duty--a word I loathe.
I'm the future Clemente Clan Alpha. There are rules. There are responsibilities. There can be no love. No free will.
But the heart wants what the heart wants, and right now, I desire them both.
Welcome to the Clemente Clan.
Be careful. We Bite.

"You're, uh, talented."
Silas chuckled, the sound low and tempting. "Talented, huh?"
I swallowed. "Yeah. You, uh, yeah." I shook my head, my skin heating. "We shouldn't talk about it anymore." Or I was going to give in to the urge to experience it all over again, and wouldn't that be a catastrophe in the making.
"Oh, I don't know; I find it a fascinating conversation," a male voice drawled from the hallway."Please continue, little mate. Tell us all about how Silas made you feel beneath his tongue."
My hands froze against Silas's chin, my heart leaping into my throat. Silas didn't appear surprised at all. Either he'd sensed the alpha's arrival or he didn't care. I couldn't tell. But probably the former.
I hadn't heard or scented Edon's approach, something I attributed to his stealthy alpha ways and the fact that his cologne was a permanent fixture inside his house.
He stepped into the entryway to lean against the door frame. "Well, Luna? Tell us about his talent. Or would you prefer my summary? I did watch it all unfold, after all."
"Edon..." My throat resembled sandpaper, his name rough on the air. No amount of swallowing or coughing would clear it, the sensation latching on and refusing to let go. And all the while, he stood there with an eyebrow arched, his expression otherwise unreadable, as he no doubt smelled the intrigue permeating the small room.
I couldn't hide it.
And neither could Silas.
"I was just cutting his hair," I said, explaining our proximity. I set the blade down, nearly finished anyway. "He looked like a shaggy dog."
"A shaggy dog with a talented tongue," Edon returned, evidently not letting that part go. "Which isn't at all what I asked about, little mate. I want to hear about what you did then and how he made you feel. If you're really descriptive, maybe I'll allow him to do it again, something I know you're both craving. Right, Silas?"
Silas didn't appear nearly as rattled as me, his gaze meeting the fuming alpha's without even blinking. "Yes."
