My name is Magnus Aurelius Clovis Gerzia Gravlock, and this is the conclusion of the story that I have spent nearly forty years of my life spinning….
The moment has come. Kingdoms have fallen and new ones have risen to take their places. And through it all, I have worked with one, single-minded purpose: to bring to life the vision of peace and prosperity that my dearest Rurik never lived to see.
I will see our dream of a frontier united in love and friendship come to fruition if it is the last thing I do. But first, wicked wolves need to be hunted and thwarted, our allies need to be determined and our enemies weeded out, and the last, surprising foe who would seek to ruin everything the rest of us have attempted to build must be dealt with. I would fly to the ends of the earth it if made my beloved Peter and Neil happy. I would lay down my life to spare our friends, Jace and Gennadi, and the rest of the Sons of the Cities, any harm.
And when all is said and done, I might just have to do that….
