Amanda Anderson is trying to get her life back together after getting out of rehab. Pretty quickly she gets an apartment, a job, and visits with her daughter. She’s happy with her life, and she thinks that she can see a positive future.
Leo Thompson is a local businessman who owns numerous properties, including the apartment complex Amanda lives in. After he hires her to be property manager, he finds out that his business is floundering. He needs a quick influx of cash, and he comes up with a scheme to convince his grandmother. He asks Amanda to pose as his fake girlfriend.
As the two spend more time together under the ruse of dating, they find that they like each other a lot. They turn toward one another for support through the ups and downs of festival committee planning, vandalism on some of Leo’s properties, and Amanda’s first solo overnight with her daughter.
Despite the fact that they are just pretending to be together, they find that they are falling in love. Can their love endure after painful truths come to light or will it be too much?
