A Gun for Braggs' Woman

(1967)
A novel by

Sapinero was a dead, cold whistle stop somewhere up in the mountains in the Cimmaron in 1886. No one ever came there because there was nothing to ever come for. A holdover point for horse thieves, rustlers, and minor crooks and second-rate outlaws (first-rate ones wouldn't bother with it), the town was naturally built-in trouble for any honest young woman going West to seek her fortune. But Sapinero was at far as Casey LeClair's ticket went, so that was where she got off. The town hasn't been the same since.
