Who is the mysterious woman in room 1508?
Detective Dana Fisher and Detective Greg Holt arrive to investigate the death of a man outside a fitness club. The man is lying on the ground next to his sedan. There are no witnesses who saw how the man had succumbed to his death. As Holt and Fisher dig deep into the man’s past, they quickly realize the man had many enemies, and they all had reasons to want him dead.
Ten years ago, a guest had committed suicide in a room of a five-star hotel. She had given a false name at registration. She had no identifications when the police found her. And no one had come forward to report her missing in all these years. Private Investigator Lee Callaway is approached by a client who doesn’t believe it was a suicide and who wants to find out who this woman was. Callaway is reluctant to take on such an old case, but he is desperate for money, and he doesn’t want to turn the client away.
Can Callaway solve the mystery of the woman in room 1508? Can Holt and Fisher ignore their prejudices and find the perpetrator behind the man’s death?
Fans of James Patterson, Harlan Coben, and David Baldacci will love The Lonely Widow.
