No mission is ever simple for the HKT's of the Vapaus Republic, but some missions are more deadly than others.
The Republic fleet is preparing to assault Zhukov. Grimkel commands a team, which is the equivalent of space borne SEALS. On his team are Hakala, Kivisto and several others. Their mission is simple, plant a virus aboard a civilian space station so when the military investigates they encounter problems.
However, the military has already fled the system and the HKT's are about to find out why.
This is a short story in the universe of the Last Marines and occurs before Grimkel, Hakala and Kivisto meet the US Marines and occurs during the book Gates of Hell and before the battle for Zhukov.
