Hunted
(2015)(The first book in the Diana Hunter Mystery series)
A novel by Alison Golden and Gabriella Zinnas
★★★★★ Grabbed me from the first page, and I sat up until 4:30 in the morning reading it.
A family tragedy. A grieving father. A daughter with a mind for mystery
On the outside, the Hunters seem like a perfectly normal family. Lydia is a loving mother and wife, who wants nothing more than the best for her loved ones. John is a devoted husband and caring father. An over-protective homicide detective, theres nothing he wouldnt do for his beloved wife and teenage daughter.
But their child Diana is the real detective in the family. With her genius-level intellect and her habit of noticing details others miss, Diana possesses a keen mind, made for solving puzzles and mysteries. And her abilities are soon put to the test after tragedy strikes the Hunter family.
When Lydia is found dead at her workplace, John must confront losing the love of his life. His shattered heart aches for himself and his little girl. As Dianas grief spirals out of control, the authorities rule the death a suicide. But when the facts dont add up, Diana and her father begin to suspect something isnt right.
Two detectives One a streetwise cop. The other a teenage genius. Both are determined to solve the mystery, and bring justice to the killers who tore their family apart.
Unlike the other books in the series, Hunted is not a complete mystery. It is a prequel. It relates the events that create the backdrop to the series. Find out what haunts Diana, drives her, and sets her life on a course of solving mysteries and crime.
I started reading the first book in this series and after that, I couldnt put them down, reading through all 4 of the books in a weeks time.
