A Regency Romance. Tenth Anniversary Edition
Note: This book was originally published under the title of Rebecca's Refusal
It all began one snowy night . . .
When snow drives Miss Rebecca Foster's carriage off the road, she is forced to take shelter at an inn, where she meets the impossible Joshua Kelling. Their chance encounter has repercussions neither of them could foresee, but Rebecca has no intention of marrying Josh just to protect her reputation. Through a whirl of balls and skating parties they spar, but it is only when his life is in danger that she knows her own heart, and at last comes to understand his.
Review
"There is plenty in this book to enjoy; the images of both Manchester and London, complete with Frost Fair, the rivalry between Rebecca and various other girls as they try to catch (or avoid) Joshua, and the glittering assemblies they all attend. Some Regencies are thin on this sort of description but not this one . . . If you want a nicely crammed Regency (and I certainly do) bursting with descriptive passages, action and general bustle then this is it." - Rachel A Hyde, My Shelf
Amanda Grange: Humour, adventure and romance, with a guaranteed happy ending.
Genre: Historical Romance
