Elves and daemons have ruled over humanity with an iron fist for centuries. Today, that rule comes to end.

When Nuska and Sahn’s torture in the elven mines is abruptly ended by the gods’ resurgence, there is only one place to run: as far away from the cataclysm as they can. But when all other escape routes are cut off, their only choice becomes the dark forest.

It is a place of rumour and fear, where no tree stays still and shadows creep with dangerous intentions. Its paths are few and rarely safe, and those that find themselves lost are rarely found. Even the elves fear the magick it holds.

Forced into the forest’s shadow, Nuska, Sahn, and the other survivors will have to fight tooth and nail to stay alive if they wish to claim the freedom they deserve. Trust is a fragile thing, and placing it in the wrong person could spell death for all.
