Life isn't simple for a paranormal detective, and it's less simple for his new-to-the-underworld assistant. Tina is still trying to establish herself among the paranormals of Tell's world, where it's never easy to tell who is a friend and who is a literal fiend. In Tell's world alliances are just another plaything.
In the midst of all of that, Solomon, leader of the Order and avowed enemy of Tell, shows up looking for help just as Tina has a chance to take a peek into Hunter's past. Tina has to make a call on just how involved in the case she's going to be.
It barely takes any time at all for everything to come completely off the rails, and Tina's in over her head again trying to keep it from coming apart entirely.
A paranormal detective's work is never done. Neither, it appears, is his assistant's.
