When Nina's husband, Carl, dies in a skiing accident she feels that she'll never recover. Carl's twin sister, Ingrid, persuades Nina not to sell the riding stables that she and Carl built up. But whilst the horses help her through the grief - Nina's heart is still frozen. Then along comes Oliver, a motherless child, who communicates far better with horses than people. Nina teaches Oliver to ride but can Oliver and his father, Stewart, teach Nina to live again?
