The Romantic Comedians

This novel deals with the tragedy of old age. It develops the theme in the context of Richmond society during the 20s. The male protagonist, a judge of 65, marries an impulsive 23-year-old woman. His views on women, allied to his being at a "dangerous age", are set against women's views of men.
