Heart of Stone

Devastated by her beloved father's death, Kessie Danton is brought back from the brink of financial ruin by family friend Lars Tolkelarson. He offers to buy up the family business, and even throws in the job of manager at his own Sonefjord Hotel in the heart of Norway into the bargain. Kessie travels to Scandinavia with a lighter heart, but she is shocked by the instant antipathy between herself and Lars's son, Brent. A sojourn sheltering from a blizzard inside a mountain hut seems to clear up some of their differences, but brings to light a powerful attraction that threatens to make life even more awkward...
