The former SEAL didn't do holiday cheer. She wasn't in the spirit after an awful breakup. But when he sees ghosts in her eyes, he knows he's got to do something about them.
Seth forces himself to go to the Agile Security Christmas party, even though he can't remember the last time he smiled. And the last time he went to a holiday shindigneverwas too recent.
But being the new guy on the team meant he had to show up.
Regardless of the fact that he's never seen half the food they are serving, or the green sprig over the door that everyone wis making a fuss over. Growing up on a fishing boat with a salty old man for a father didn't lend itself to holiday anything.
Much to his shock, he isn't the only one with a case of Christmas Avoidance Syndrome. The new girl in town seems to have a case of it too. The local medical clinic has a pretty new receptionist who looks like a deer in headlights.
And when he finds out Roxi's car broke down on the way to the party, he sees the perfect reason to leave... With her on the back of his motorcycle.
Because Seth did learn one thing on that fishing boat...how to fix about anything.
Now he wants to apply those skills to whatever is making Roxi's pretty eyes so sad.
Seth is a novella in the Agile Security & Rescue Series. (All the other books in the series are full-length novels.) But I couldn't resist writing this tasty, sizzling, insta-love story for these two. I have a strong need to find mates for my men, and couldn't tolerate Seth spending Christmas Eve alone!
Readers that know the series will find beloved characters and some new faces in this short read that has protective military hero + small town vibes. This book takes place some time after book nine in the collection, but can be enjoyed as a standalone any time.
