Joanna Glen recommends
Small Hours (2024)
Bobby Palmer
"A powerful story of losing ourselves and each other - and how the natural world can find us and put us back together again."
The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot (2021)
Marianne Cronin
"A truly gorgeous book, brimming with life and colour."
The Phone Booth at the Edge of the World (2020)
Laura Imai Messina
"Before I got started, I already loved the phone box at the edge of the world. But then I loved everything else. Especially the beautiful prose, powerful but held back, like grief. And the characters - emerging blinking from their tragedies, hurt and hesitant - but ultimately hopeful. It was a joy to read. Mesmerising!"
