A novel by

Twin Buttes needs a new sheriff.

Local thug Bart Gruber seems to have his own ideas about who the next one should be.

But when his men attack a nearby wagon train, they do not expect one man to survive - Steve Yarborough.

When Clancy Tennant and his pretty daughter, Sarah Tennant, rescue him, he finds out more and more about Gruber.

The more he learns, the less he likes and he begins hatching his plan.

Steve is out for revenge and, with help from the locals, he might just get it.

Steve will certainly have his work cut out for him trying to convince the people of Twin Buttes to go against Gruber, but if can prove himself worthy of that sheriff's badge then he's got a fighting chance.

And if he can prove himself worthy of Sarah Tennant as well, even better.

To take down a ruthless man like Gruber, Steve will risk his life again and again to bring justice.

But as the Sole Survivor, is one man enough to make a difference?
