Originally published in 2003, Reborn is one of the first YA strong girl heroine book that was published on Amazon by indie publishing pioneer and author Kailin Gow. The first book in the Queen B Superheroine Series chronicling the teenage and young adult years of one of America's future greatest super heroines Queen B, REBORN introduces Barbie Barton as the young super heroine and the people and circumstances that shape her character while growing up in a small town called Bigtown. A natural born leader, Barbie Barton's life is consumed with the typical teenage pursuit of popularity, good grades, and climbing the high school social ladder. She has risen to the very top of the social ladder as head cheerleader, prom queen, and co-producer of the school news show. She is even dating Peter Bailey, the star quarterback and a senior. But when she is stung by a genetically-enhanced queen bee and her friends are being mysteriously killed, Barbie is forced to confront her newfound powers and embark on a dual life of teenage queen and crime fighter. To complicate matters, Barbie meets Roman Reynolds, the brilliant handsome son of billionaire scientist Reginald Reynolds, who had recently returned from living in Europe to help his father run his empire. With his handsome dark looks and charming vulnerability, Barbie cannot help but feel an instant attraction for this new stranger.
