When fairyland calls . . . run.

Sophia Edwards has spent her entire life trying to forget her fall into fairyland as a child. Between being chased and terrorized, her memories of all she went through, as well as the images of the witches frozen by an evil queen, won’t leave her nightmares.

But now as an adult, after years spent failing at every job available at the Magical Council, powerful sorcerer and Council administrator, Tillie, has recruited her for a brand new role as an investigator. Even more terrifyingly, Sophia will be partnered with the famous, and much too handsome, Jackson Allan Poe.

Not helping her fears, Jackson is no more certain about their new partnership than Sophia is. After years of having odd rumors told about his adventures (“Jackson took on an undead army with only a singing spell and a basket of mints! Jackson rescued the leprechauns’ princess with nothing but a rhyming madness spell and a smile!”), he feels far too old to take on a complete newbie, especially since he’s still in mourning for his last partner.

But Tillie’s not a woman to be denied, and nothing about this mission will be what they expect--because an evil queen is calling Sophia again, and this time she won’t stop till she has her soul.

With the help of an odd band of companions, including a friendly dragon, an elven lieutenant in the Fairy Watch, a three-eyed fairy cat, several unicorns, and a talking raccoon, can they take on the evil queen to rescue the kidnapped mundanes, save the frozen witches, and keep Sophia from being pulled back into fairyland toward a terrifying, and fatal, fate?

Frozen in Fairyland is a perfect introduction to the More in Heaven and Earth universe. Continuing readers will delight in visits from a few old friends, while new readers can easily enjoy the loads of quirky humor, romance, and suspense of this fun contemporary fantasy, complete with a trip into fairyland.

On a Katherine Gilbert wackiness scale of 1-to-10 sarcastic talking cats*, this one is a 7.

*Warning: Not all stories contain talking cats. Wackiness may take other forms.
