Sisters Beatrice and Katie Williams have nothing in common except for their love of their grandmother, Mimi. However, when Mimi dies and leaves them a family heirloom ring said to bring true love to whoever wears it, neither one of them wants anything to do with it. Beatrice is in a messy affair with her married boss, and Katie is determined to leave her past—and the man who ruined it—behind her.
Unfortunately, the ring has other ideas. As the sisters play Hot Potato with an object they're both rapidly coming to believe is cursed, the men in their lives rise up with declarations of love, plans for the future, and a whole lot of romantic nonsense they're better off without.
