Everyone deserves a fairy godmother to take them from rags to riches overnight. Poor-as-dirt, Adie Reynolds, is lucky enough to get hers in the form a wealthy aunt who has died and left Adie a fortune. Unfortunately, the millions come with a catch or two.
Aunt Minerva wants Adie to move to England, sort through a lifetime of treasures she’s stored in a Yorkshire farmhouse, and solve mysteries that have plagued her over a lifetime. To assist her with her tasks she gets the services of a hunky PI bodyguard and the protection of a big, half-grown pup in need of a home. To motivate her to succeed she gets a conniving distant relative, who will inherit millions if he can stop her solving the mysteries.
As Adie takes a huge step into the unknown she begins her first mystery, which took place at the end of World War Two when an unwed mother was forced to give up her baby for adoption. The lost child is Aunt Minerva’s older brother.
Can a twenty-something hillbilly high school drop-out find out what happened to her long-lost uncle or will she fail before she even properly starts out?
