Abby, a wedding planner, has been brought to Whussendale to turn the small community into a wedding destination. At the same time, the weaver’s nephew, Conor, has come to the community to apprentice at their Victorian era wool mill. Immediately, though, Conor causes problems, wanting to update their processes to bring the mill into the current century.

The two newcomers are striving for different things. Abby wants to make a go of it here in Whussendale and Conor is doing nothing but making trouble for himself and the community. When she tries to convince him to go with the flow, she learns a thing or two about the stubbornness of Scottish men. Together, they find a solution for the wool mill, learn to compromise, and are the first to have the wedding experience in Whussendale.
