Roberta Grieve has always loved writing, starting as a young child when she wrote stories and plays for her younger siblings. Her first job was as a junior reporter on a local newspaper where she soon graduated to writing feature articles on local history.

Later she worked for West Sussex County Library Service while continuing to write in her spare time. After more than twenty years of dealing with other peoples books, early retirement offered the opportunity to turn what had been hobby into a second career and she started on her first novel.

What little spare time she has is taken up with family and friends but she also enjoys painting and walking, although writing and research, particularly the Victorian and early 20th century periods, are her first loves
